In our busy lives with so many responsibilities, cares and struggles, we sometimes really need some words of encouragement to help us. Here are some Bible verses that can provide encouragement from the Lord.

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God". ~ 2nd Corinthians 1:3-4

"The LORD is my shepherd.  I shall not be in want.   He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul.   He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.   Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;   your rod and your staff, they comfort me.   You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.   You anoint my head with oil;   my cup overflows.  Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever" ~ Psalm 23

Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light" ~
Matthew 11:28-30

"Peace I leave with you;   my peace I give you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.   Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid" ~
John 14:27

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble, but take heart!   I have overcome the world" ~
John 16:33

The apostle Peter says, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" ~ 1st
Peter 5:7

The apostle Paul says, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.   Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing" ~ 1st T
